Finding your purpose is easy when you know what fundamentally drives you as a human being, and it is this…
Your purpose in life is to serve other human beings. Why? Because the laws that govern life means that you will always be drawn to serve others as other people are really an expression of yourself at the highest level of understanding. That you are part of a cosmic blueprint of energy, or spirit, or light, that exists within you and everything in the universe.
Below is a picture I took visiting Sri Lanka in 2016. Many families had to constantly relocate in fear of bombing raids and crossfire. Sri Lanka is a country that has been ravaged by bloodshed and war for over 30 years. My family origin comes from this country. In fact, my family had devastatingly lost brothers and relatives who got caught up in the conflict during the 1980’s. When my parents arrived to Australia, they left a home they only knew with so much uncertainty and fear. Later they would find out their brothers got killed in an army shooting.
As I grew up, I witnessed my family struggle painstakingly in suffering. Because when you experience suffering at a deep level, unless you seek to heal it, it will manifest through the thoughts, beliefs and actions that you make in your life.
The truth is everyone carries suffering. Suffering is the universe’s way of experiencing life through you, and part of that is forgetting the truth to who you actually are.
When you remember, everything changes.
The universe is always expanding and as it expands, it does so by embodying itself into more versions of yourself, so that it could experience what it had made. And what manifested from this was everything that exists in your reality. As a conscious being, you get to remember where you came from and this means that you become the Creator. This is where suffering ends and life truly begins.
In knowing this truth, the secret to success and living in true fulfilment comes in service to others. Despite everything you do to find yourself, you will discover that it is the only thing that matters because this is what internally drives you.
